Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, New American Funding and Alterra Home Loans are the top three mortgage lenders, respectively, in terms of providing loans to Latinos, according to a recent report from the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals (NAHREP).
The ranking, sponsored by Radian Guaranty, is based on self-reported data that is reflective of total transactions closed during the 2014 calendar year. The data is verified by the NAHREP, as well as senior management at the loan originator's employer.
‘These agents and mortgage loan originators are highly dedicated to their trade and know firsthand the significance that homeownership holds for the Latino community,’ says Teresa Palacios Smith, president of the NAHREP, in a release. ‘We are proud to recognize these hardworking individuals for their success and devotion to their profession.’
