Janell Downing, an industry veteran with over three decades of title experience, has been appointed senior vice president and agency manager for the Midwest region at WFG National Title Insurance Co., a full-service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for commercial and residential transactions.
Downing, who previously served WFG as an agency sales and service representative in the Midwest, will now be responsible for developing and managing relationships with title agencies throughout the Midwest region, including Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas and Missouri.
Downing will remain in the company’s Delaware office.
Before joining WFG, Downing spent 20 years serving one of the industry’s largest underwriters, gaining experience on the agency side and also holding significant audit, commercial and retail branch positions, as well.
“Janell is an obvious choice to oversee WFG’s continuing growth with agencies in the Midwest,” says Cain. “Our agents have come to know her as a tireless advocate on their behalf and a wellspring of resources and data. She understands that WFG will not and cannot succeed unless its agents succeed, and she demonstrates this to the independent agent on a daily basis.”
WFG says that Downing succeeds Charles Cain, the company’s executive vice president, who previously oversaw the Midwest region.
