AmeriBid will be auctioning about 80 homes and lots on behalf of the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio.
‘One of SAHA's primary strategic goals is to expand the supply of affordable housing,’ says Kathy McCormick, development services and neighborhood revitalization officer for SAHA. ‘By divesting certain SAHA properties, we are able to provide opportunities for neighborhood and community development throughout the city, while advancing the affordable housing goals of SAHA and being efficient with agency resources.’
SAHA has owned many of the properties to be auctioned for years.
All properties will be auctioned in ‘as is’ condition; therefore, potential buyers are advised to inspect each property before bidding.
Buyers must also be prepared to close purchases within the required 30-day closing period.
‘This is a great opportunity for buyers to name their own price and be able to purchase this diverse group of properties for use, investment or development,’ says Paul A. Lynn, certified commercial investment member, regional director and broker for AmeriBid.
