Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke will host a town hall meeting with educators from across the country on Aug. 7.
The educators will join Bernanke in the Board Room of the Federal Reserve Board's main building in Washington, D.C., and will gather in Federal Reserve Bank offices throughout the country to participate via videoconference. Bernanke will give brief remarks about the importance of personal financial education and then respond to questions from both in-person and videoconference participants. Bernanke previously hosted a similar town hall meeting in September 2010.
The program is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. EDT and will be webcast live at ustream.tv/channel/federalreserve. After the event, the Fed will post a transcript and video recording on its website.
