Bridger Commercial Funding has exited the commercial mortgage space, according to a Bloomberg interview with the company's co-CEO, Steven Mumma.
According to a report published Wednesday, Bridger shut down last week in response to increasing competition from big Wall Street players.
‘This is the beginning of a shakeout among commercial real estate lenders,’ Morgan Stanley analyst Richard Parkus told Bloomberg.
