CFPB Announces Changes In Leadership

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) has announced several changes to senior leadership positions within the agency.

Kelly Thompson Cochran was promoted from deputy assistant director for regulations to acting assistant director for regulations. She will assume the responsibilities of Leonard Chanin, who is departing the CFPB. Separately, Stephen Van Meter was promoted from assistant general counsel for policy to deputy general counsel.

Chris Lipsett was hired as senior counsel in the office of the CFPB director. He was previously a partner in the law firm of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr. Delicia Reynolds Hand was hired as staff director for the Consumer Advisory Board and Councils. She was previously the legislative director for the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
