Darius Kingsley, who served as chief of the Homeownership Preservation Office at the U.S. Treasury since 2011, has joined Chase Bank as co-general counsel of mortgage banking.
Kingsley will share duties with Denise DesRosiers, who has been with the bank's mortgage business for 21 years and most recently served as deputy general counsel of mortgage banking.
In his new role, Kingsley will provide strategic and transactional legal support for Chase's mortgage banking business, with an aim to strengthen its regulatory and compliance framework.
The Homeownership Preservation Office oversees the federal government's Making Home Affordable Program, including HAMP and HARP.
