TowneBank, based in Hampton Roads, Va., has promoted Jacqueline B. Amato (pictured left) to chairwoman and CEO of TowneBank Mortgage. Amato has served as president of TowneBank Mortgage since it opened in 2000.
J.G. Carter will join TowneBank Mortgage on Dec. 1 as president. Carter, a 29-year veteran of the industry, was most recently executive vice president of correspondent lending for SunTrust Mortgage.
