First American Introduces New Resource To Analyze Homeownership Trends

0

First American Financial Corp., a global provider of title insurance, settlement services and risk solutions for real estate transactions, has launched a new resource for expert insight into the economic and cultural trends shaping homeownership today.

Entitled “The State of Homeownership,” this resource page was released by Mark Fleming, chief economist for First American.

“While homeownership and housing have not been center stage in the presidential campaign to date, there are few issues as broadly relevant to both ‘Main Street’ and ‘Wall Street’ as the state of homeownership in the U.S.,” says Fleming. “Understanding the trends that influence homeownership decisions today and in the future can help inform the discussions necessary to preserve homeownership opportunities for the next generation.”

A new white paper authored by Fleming, also titled “The State of Homeownership,” is included in the new resource page and explores declining homeownership, one of the most important economic issues facing our country today. Additionally, the page features a video highlighting the discussion among industry experts, housing advocates and policymakers at a First American-hosted leadership forum last year.

According to the company, the State of Homeownership resource page will be regularly updated with new related research, providing an in-depth view of homeownership from Fleming’s perspective.
