First American Title Insurance Co.'s mortgage services division, based in Santa Ana, Calif., has named Eric Friedman chief operating officer (COO) for its default services group. In his new role, Friedman is responsible for all areas within the group, including new product development, compliance, client relations management and technology.
Prior to joining First American, Friedman served as president and COO of PREO LLC, an online real estate marketplace for distressed assets. He also held positions at OneWest Bank, formerly Indymac Federal Bank, and at Fannie Mae.
