Brookfield, Wis.-based GSF Mortgage was recently named to Mortgage Technology's Top Tech-Savvy Lenders and Servicers list for 2013.
The list recognizes mortgage companies for achieving technological excellence and includes a wide range of mortgage firms, from regional mortgage bankers to national depositories.
GSF Mortgage recently implemented a data privacy management platform. In addition, it has recently deployed enhanced email-security tools and digital file-upload portals.
GSF Mortgage was also named to the Top Tech-Savvy Lenders and Servicers list in 2012.
In addition, GSF Mortgage was recently named a Platinum Million Dollar Lender by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) for the second year in a row. The certification is awarded to organizations that utilized over $5 million in Guaranteed Rural Housing (GRH) Loan Funds for home purchases in 2012.
According to the USDA, more than $414 million in GRH funding was delivered to homeowners, which resulted in over 3,388 home purchases.
GSF Mortgage utilized over $5 million in GRH Loan Funds to make this possible, which helped many rural residents.
In other news, GSF Mortgage recently opened a new branch in Allison Park, Pa., which will be run by John Nestor, branch manager, along with Tom Zaimes and Jay Fallon.
Nestor began his mortgage career in 2002. A year later, he became a loan officer and eventually a trainer. Zaimes and Fallon have been in the mortgage industry since 2000 and have held managerial positions for a number of years.
