Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Greater Atlanta (CCCS Atlanta), with 30 offices in four states (Florida, Georgia, Tennessee and Mississippi), will join the more than 100 counseling agencies already committed to the HOPE LoanPort.
Developed by the HOPE NOW Alliance, HOPE LoanPort is a Web-based tool that designed to streamline loan modification applications on behalf of borrowers at risk of foreclosure, allowing housing counselors to transmit completed applications to mortgage servicers.
‘To be considered for a loan modification, [borrowers] need to know quickly if they qualify for a loan modification,’ says Suzanne Boas, president of CCCS Atlanta. "HOPE LoanPort will speed up this process. Additionally, the new, automated process will benefit homeowners by giving them a single point of contact with their servicer."
