Ten California mortgage lenders have teamed up with NeighborWorks America and the HOPE NOW alliance for the nation's first series of HOPE NOW Homeownership Preservation Forums. These forums are free events that allow borrowers to meet face-to-face with their servicers or counseling organizations to develop workout solutions, explains HOPE NOW.
The California Forums are in partnership with NeighborWorks America and 90 Days of HOPE, a public education campaign sponsored by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Task Force on Non-Traditional Mortgages. Countrywide, EMC Mortgage, GMAC/Rescap, HomEq, Home Loan Services, HSBC, IndyMac Bank, JP Morgan Chase, Option One and Washington Mutual are among the firms in attendance.
