Jeff Ishbia, founder and chairman of mortgage lender United Shore Financial Services (USFS), parent company of United Wholesale Mortgage, Shore Mortgage and Capital Mortgage Funding, has won Ernst & Young's 2013 Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for the Michigan and Northwest Ohio region.
The award recognizes outstanding high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. The winners were recently honored at a black tie gala event held at the MGM Grand in Detroit.
‘This achievement celebrates the overall fostering of intra-company entrepreneurship that we embrace at USFS and an unwavering drive and commitment by each of our talented employees that are dedicated to moving our company forward,’ Ishbia said in a release.
Ishbia will move on to compete at the national level of the competition. The national winners in several categories will be announced at the annual awards gala in Palm Springs, Calif., on Nov. 16.
