Danté Thomas has joined JLL Capital Markets, a professional services firm that specializes in real estate and investment management, as a managing director in the firm’s affordable housing production team.
Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in the multi-housing affordable housing finance industry. Prior to joining JLL, he served as vice president of product originations for Berkadia Commercial Mortgage, working directly with originators, clients and capital providers to structure transactions geographically dispersed throughout the country.
Before spending four years with Berkadia, Thomas served as the director of real estate for the Housing Partnership Equity Trust, which is now majority owned by Lincoln Avenue Capital.
Thomas started his career as a senior asset manager and underwriter with Fannie Mae’s multi-housing mortgage business and also worked for the District of Columbia’s Housing Finance Agency as a senior development officer.
In his new role, Thomas is responsible for optimizing financing solutions from a variety of capital sources, including Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
