Jones Lang LaSalle Adds Seniors Housing Branch To Capital Markets Practice

Jones Lang LaSalle has expanded its corporate capital markets practice to include a dedicated seniors housing offering as part of the firm's growing healthcare finance platform. Michael Berne, a 25-year commercial real estate veteran, has joined the firm as managing director to lead the national service offering. Berne will assist seniors housing providers in developing and executing real estate capital strategies designed to provide research-led transactions to seniors housing space.

The seniors housing practice will deliver expertise to all sectors of senior housing and healthcare including independent-living facilities, assisted-living facilities, nursing homes, dementia facilities, continuing care retirement communities, surgical centers, medical office buildings and hospitals, Jones Lang LaSalle says.

In addition, seniors housing and healthcare finance specialists Mark Silver and Richard Donohue have both joined the firm as managing directors. The trio of national seniors housing experts join the firm's West Coast healthcare finance team, led by executive vice president Poe Corn, and now form a national corporate capital markets healthcare finance team designed to deliver a comprehensive set of national financial advisory and transaction services to the entire sector.
