Kimberly A. Sheek has joined Shapiro & Ingle LLP as a senior bankruptcy attorney in the firm's bankruptcy litigation department.
Sheek has more than eight years of experience representing mortgage servicers in Chapter 7, 11, 12 and 13 bankruptcy cases. She has also obtained a number of favorable opinions throughout North Carolina for mortgage servicers while successfully defending lenders in a variety of litigated cases.
In her new role, Sheek will head Shapiro & Ingle's bankruptcy litigation department, which provides creditors with a number of services, including identifying potential bankruptcy litigation exposure and providing practical solutions; representing creditors in adversary proceedings, motions for sanctions and other bankruptcy litigation; responding to emergency situations; and providing general compliance advice as it relates to bankruptcy, federal laws, regulations and state laws.
