Potestivo & Associates PC, offering legal services to the mortgage banking industry, has hired Lisa Barwick as an associate attorney in the firm's litigation department at its office in Rochester Hills, Mich.
Barwick previously worked as a staff attorney for a local credit union and, before that, for the Michigan State Bar Association. She possesses a multitude of experience in bankruptcy law.
Barwick earned her bachelor's degree in political science at Tennessee State University and completed her law degree at Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 2008. While earning her J.D., she served as the managing associate editor for her school's law review. She is also certified as a credit union compliance expert and a Bank Secrecy Act compliance specialist.
In addition to being a licensed member of the State of Michigan, Barwick has been admitted to practice in both the Eastern and Western Federal District Courts of Michigan.
