Anticipating a rebound in the housing market over the next several years, California-based, post-crisis home mortgage company LoanDepot.com has opened a new office in Plano, Texas this week.
The company, which launched in 2010, said that over the next three years, it expects to hire up to 1,000 people for the new 50,000-square-foot facility, which is located on Legacy Drive in West Plano.
The new location will serve as a joint headquarters with the company's corporate office in Foothill Ranch, Calif. LoanDepot also has operations in Scottsdale, Ariz., and near Nashville.
The company said it expects to hire 250 workers in the first nine months of operation.
