Mortgage industry veteran Michael Massella has joined full-service mortgage banking firm Envoy Mortgage as executive vice president of retail lending.
Massella has more than 30 years of experience in the mortgage industry, running production efforts for several large national companies. He comes to Envoy from Caliber Funding, where he was senior vice president of wholesale lending. Prior, he was senior vice president for production at First Savings Mortgage, and president of production for Aegis Mortgage Corporation, running all aspects of production and operations for more than 100 wholesale and retail locations across the nation. Before joining Aegis, he was senior vice president for retail and wholesale production for Fleet Mortgage Corporation, where he directed the activities of over 600 origination and production staff members.
In his new role, Massella will be directly responsible for managing the operations and production for Envoy's growing retail branch network across the country and is based in the Houston home office.
In the past year, Houston, Texas-based Envoy, which currently originates in 48 states and has more than 100 retail branch locations, established a national builder division, a servicing operation and Envoy CLD, its correspondent lending division based in Monroe, La.
