Meghan Sullivan has been promoted to associate vice president of legislative affairs at the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) while Rob Van Raaphorst has been promoted to associate vice president of public affairs. Previously, both held director positions.
Sullivan, the MBA's lobbyist focusing primarily on Republican members of the U.S. Senate, has served in several positions at the association, including director of legislative affairs, director of state government affairs, assistant director of state government affairs and government affairs associate. In addition, she has worked at the Association of Global Automakers and the office of Sen. John E. Sununu.
Van Raaphorst, whose primary functions include media relations and public affairs strategy, joined the MBA in Jan. 2013 from DCI GROUP, where he had been a director in the public affairs practice. Previously, he worked at Burson-Marsteller, R&R Partners and the Republican Governors Association.
