Mortgage industry veteran Michael Larssen has joined EMC2 Data as CEO.
Larssen, a certified mortgage broker, is the founder of Larssen Consulting Group in Clearwater, Fla., a firm that specializes in solving strategic challenges for lenders and expanding originations via recruiting, mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, he was chief credit officer and national sales manager of Atlanta-based Correspondent One, where he was respobnsible for the credit policy, oversight of outsourced due diligence functions and business development.
Larssen also was a founding member of St. Louis-based Lenders One Mortgage Cooperative. As the company's executive vice president, he helped expand membership while generating streams of revenue from the firm's aggregated $180 billion of volume in 2012. Earlier in his career, he was executive vice president at Mortgage Investors Group in Knoxville, Tenn., an originator with $2 billion of primarily retail annual volume. He also served as senior vice president at Columbia Home Loans in Valhalla, N.Y.
In his new role, Larssen is responsible for leading EMC2 Data as it helps to establish the new era of valuations.
