MortgageFlex Systems Inc., a provider of loan origination and servicing technology, has received from Jacksonville Business Journal a BizTech Innovation Award for Best Use of Cloud Computing.
MortgageFlex says these awards were established to identify and acknowledge Jacksonville businesses and professionals for developing, employing and utilizing technology in creative and effective ways.
According to MortgageFlex, it recently decided to consolidate and move resources to the cloud after previously managing its own hardware and data centers. The company says multiple-site cloud computing provides business and strategic advantages – including a high level of security, modern technology, flexible load-balancing capabilities, faster implementation times, lower infrastructure expenses and more robust disaster recovery options.
‘Moving to the cloud wasn't a lightly made decision. We evaluated all of our options, and we feel that we made the best choice for our customers and ourselves,’ says Tom Soyars, vice president of support services.
