Consumer advocacy group America's Watchdog and its National Mortgage Complaint Center have initiated a national investigation into the loan servicing practices of Aurora Loan Services. In the last three years, there have been numerous individual lawsuits and class actions filed against Aurora Loan Services, the National Mortgage Complaint Center notes.
The center is currently seeking input from consumers who had a residential mortgage with Aurora Loan Services between 2006 and 2007, particularly residents of California, Florida, Nevada, New York or Arizona, and U.S. homeowners who have had issues with Aurora Loan Services' collection practices or accounting practices between 2007 and 2008.
