National Tax Search Plans Company Expansion

National Tax Search (NTS), a Chicago-based provider of property tax management and flood zone determination services, plans to undergo several company changes, including adding employees, expanding the office space and restructuring management.

The expansion is due to continued growth in tax outsourcing services and early projections for flood determination services, says the company, which provides outsourcing services to lenders, mortgagors, real estate owners, default and special servicers, originators, title companies, and attorneys.

The company says it plans to hire 25 additional employees by the end of the second quarter of this year, as well as nearly double the office space of its headquarters.

NTS is restructuring its management with the recent shift of Tim Lathrop to executive vice president and the addition of Jan Mortensen as chief operating officer. Lathrop will now be responsible for overseeing strategic business development, marketing initiatives and client relations for NTS. Mortensen will focus on the continued development of NTS operations, building process design and improving quality management.

In 2013, NTS says it added 50 new jobs and expanded office space by 50%.
