Arlington, Va.-based National Cooperative Bank (NCB) has hired David Christiansen as chief credit officer. He will be responsible for setting loan policy, managing the credit and loan closing departments and providing credit oversight to all areas of NCB. Additionally, he will handle the management of all credit concentrations and regulatory audit requirements.Â
Christiansen previously worked as a director at Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in New York. He also served as a vice president and senior underwriter at JPMorgan Chase in New York, where he was the primary credit risk officer for a commercial loan portfolio of nearly $6 billion of syndicated secured and unsecured loans originated to over 25 diversified clients.
Christiansen previously worked at NCB from 1998 to 2000 as an assistant vice president responsible for national business development and credit management for NCB's commercial real estate portfolio.
