Velocity Commercial Capital, a Westlake Village, Calif.-based specialty finance firm focusing on originating, acquiring and securitizing small balance commercial loans, has hired Jack Jacob as executive vice president and chief servicing officer. In his new role, Jacob will lead Velocity's servicing and special servicing groups.
Jacob brings more than 30 years of banking, servicing, special servicing and real estate experience to the position. Prior to his appointment, he was vice president for Aurora Bank, formerly known as Lehman Brothers Bank, in their commercial real estate special assets department and previously held management roles at WAMU, American Savings Bank, American Real Estate Group and American Savings & Loan.
