Orlando Magic Seeks City Property For $100M HQ The Orlando Magic basketball team has announced plans to build a $100 million headquarters across the street from the $380 million Amway Center, which opened last year as the team's home court.

The Orlando Business Journal reports that the new building would also incorporate a hotel and a sports and entertainment complex. The 4.3-acre property is owned by the city of Orlando, but the city has yet to confirm that it will sell the land. If a sale goes through, most of the existing buildings on the property would be demolished, excluding a building that houses the city's police department.

The team has not released a timetable for the project, but it states that as many as 600 jobs will be created within the new complex.
