RentPath, a Norcross, Ga.-based search company for apartment and home renters, has acquired Lovely, a San Francisco-based rental marketplace, for $13 million in cash.
RentPath says Lovely, founded recently in 2011, is the first mobile-powered, end-to-end rental marketplace where renters can search, apply and pay rent directly from their mobile device and the Web.
RentPath explains that its own rental resource, Apartment Guide, provides consumers with a guide to apartment living through apartment listings in a user-friendly format with Internet, mobile and social media solutions – allowing renters and property managers to connect from wherever they are.
Lovely will continue to operate out of San Francisco under the leadership of its co-founders Blake Pierson and Doug Wormhoudt.
