Robert Colbeck has been promoted to chief technology officer at Mortgage Contracting Services (MCS), a nationwide provider of property preservation, inspections and REO property maintenance to the financial services industry.
Colbeck, who works out of MCS' Tampa, Fla., operations center, has been with the company since 2004. He has more than 18 years of information technology experience and is one of the original architects of MCS360, the company's Web-based technology portal designed to meet the industry's need for multi-tier communications software and real-time delivery of work order results.
In addition to leading the company's software development team, Colbeck also oversees multiple MCS sites and data centers, allowing the company to achieve true data-redundancy and disaster-recovery capabilities for clients. In his new position, he will supervise all strategic technology initiatives and enhancements to help MCS remain on the technological forefront of the field services industry.
Prior to joining MCS, Colbeck worked as a consultant for Franklin Templeton Investments, where he served as lead developer on the company's application development team. He also supported business and systems analysis and design, database design, and administration initiatives. Prior to working for Franklin Templeton Investments, he held similar roles for GTE, Tech Data Corporation, DIMAC Direct Inc. and LeGrand Computer Services.
