Social Network For Property Due Diligence Pros Grows

mbership for an online social network designed for property due diligence professionals has grown to 3,000 in one year's time, according to the network's creator, Environmental Data Resources Inc. (EDR). EDR, a provider of environmental risk information, launched CommonGround last year as a cost-free networking site where those concerned with property due diligence could share ideas, debate topics, exchange information and connect with potential employers. Membership, which includes environmental professionals, lenders, attorneys, real estate inspectors and appraisers, has doubled within the last five months to include professionals from 67 countries. Lenders are using the site to benchmark their environmental due diligence efforts against other banks and learn about environmental due diligence trends, such as the U.S. Small Business Administration's new environmental policy, EDR says. "We are excited to have developed this central location where up-to-the-minute discussions and information exchange can have a real and direct impact on the critical work property due diligence professionals are performing across the globe," says Rob Barber, EDR's CEO. "CommonGround has truly become the destination for people concerned with property due diligence." SOUR
