Santa Ana, Calif.-headquartered mortgage lender Stearns Lending Inc. has appointed John Krantz senior vice president, controller. In this role, he will be responsible for management and financial reporting for the compnay's combined retail, wholesale and correspondent production channels.
Krantz most recently served as vice president, controller at Impac Mortgage Holdings Inc., where he was responsible for financial statement close processes, management of the accounting and finance functions, and coordination of year-end audit for timeliness of reporting and compliance with accounting standards, as well as other regulatory requirements at the publicly held mortgage bank.
Krantz previously held several senior executive positions at the home lending division of IndyMac Bank FSB. Earlier in his career, he served as chief financial officer at several firms, including TD Service Financial Corp., a provider of technology solutions to the mortgage banking industry.
