Former Bank of America technology executive Vishnu Karra has joined mortgage lender Stearns Lending as senior vice president, production applications.
In his new role, Karra will be responsible for the management, implementation and support of mortgage originations technology solutions and applications across all loan production channels.
Karra has more than 20 years of experience leading design and development teams that have produced best-in-class mortgage origination technology platforms for retail, wholesale and correspondent business channels.
Prior to joining Stearns Lending, Karra was senior vice president, technology executive, for Bank of America Home Loans, where he oversaw the design, development and implementation of the bank's retail and centralized origination technology platform.
Before Bank of America he worked as executive vice president, technology executive, for Countrywide Financial Corp., where he spent 13 years overseeing the development of Web-based transactional solutions for both the correspondent and wholesale lending business lines, as well as building a Web-based retail mortgage origination platform with comprehensive point-of-sale features.
