Harold Ellis has joined The StoneHill Group, offering quality control, due diligence and mortgage fulfillment solutions for mortgage lenders, banks and credit unions, as underwriting manager.
Ellis has more than 10 years of experience in mortgage operations and underwriting. Most recently, he served as mortgage operations manager at First Commerce Credit Union in Tallahassee, Fla. – where he managed and developed a team of mortgage loan officers, underwriters, processors, compliance staff, pricing coordinators and post-closing auditors. He has also held management positions at several large mortgage lenders, including Chase Mortgage, PHH Mortgage and Bank of America.
In his new role, Ellis will be responsible for overseeing The StoneHill Group’s mortgage underwriting solutions.
The StoneHill Group reports that it has experienced a 60% increase in staff over the past year due to growing demand from lenders needing assistance with new lending regulations, such as the recent TILA/RESPA Integrated Disclosure rules.
