Trulia Launching Service To Connect Home Sellers To Agents

Trulia – an online marketplace for home buyers, sellers, renters and real estate professionals – is launching Trulia Seller Ads, a service that generates and delivers leads from sellers to agents.

Trulia leveraged recently acquired Market Leader to help develop the product, which will be available in February. Trulia notes that agents can already join the Trulia Seller Ads waitlist.

‘As we enter 2014, one of the biggest housing stories continues to be low inventory. This trend has created huge demand for seller leads. With [the] launch of Trulia Seller Ads, we are focused on addressing this need by helping agents meet more sellers and win more listings," comments Pete Flint, CEO of Trulia.

With the new service, consumers who are planning to sell their home can visit Trulia's seller portal to gather information and request a free home value estimate from agents, the company explains. This is where the service enables agents to market directly to sellers with a free home value report that includes valuation information, such as price history and comparable homes sold, according to the company..

Homeowners seriously considering putting their home up for sale want to leverage the expertise of a professional, with 91% of home sales involving an agent, according to data Trulia reports from the National Association of Realtors.

Agents are featured in the Trulia Home Estimate Report with an image and contact information to help the agent establish his/her brand with motivated sellers, with the goal to then follow up with a professional, personalized list-price estimate, explains Trulia. Agents can view, manage and convert leads from Trulia Seller Ads in the Market Leader Pro software.
