Dallas-based value-added commercial real estate investor Westmount Realty Capital LLC has formed an affiliate, Westmount Structured Finance.
The new affiliate will offer a variety of financing options to investors in commercial property, including bridge loans, mezzanine financing, note purchases and preferred equity. Westmount Structured Finance says it will also seek to acquire B-pieces of senior loans.
‘Disruptions in the capital markets have created an opportunity to earn superior risk-adjusted returns for those willing to lend in this environment,’ explains Cliff Booth, president of Westmount. ‘There are good deals in every market, and we perceive an opportunity in structured finance to provide creative solutions for investors who recognize and understand those deals.’
