Real estate solutions provider Zillow Inc. reports that it has added new tools and features to its Zillow Mortgage Marketplace application for iPhone and iPad, including instant access to details, information and loan quotes for the Home Affordable Refinance Program (HARP) and FHA Streamline Refinance.
Other new features include a redesigned landing page and home screen providing access to all of Zillow's mortgage information in just one tap.
The app also sports a new quote detail page with a navigation bar that allows shoppers to scroll through details on rate history as well as retrieve rate quotes, with color-coding to indicate which rates have already been viewed.
In addition, the rate chart allows for increased interactivity. Now, shoppers can slide through time, rather than using filters, to narrow and find rate details and information.
The revamped mobile solution also offers expanded lender profiles, allowing users to read and scroll through more than 33,000 lender reviews quickly and easily.
What's more, the app's calculators have been redesigned to include interactive charts and graphs, making it easier for home shoppers and owners to find the best loan.
‘We often hear stories of underwater homeowners who get discouraged because one lender told them no, or because they couldn't afford the fees associated with a particular refinance quote,’ says Erin Lantz, director of Mortgage Marketplace for Zillow. ‘The beauty of the mobile marketplace environment for homeowners is that they have access to hundreds of competing lenders, right in the palm of their hand, who may be able to help within seconds. It is imperative that homeowners not give up in their quest to refinance.’
