Safeguard Properties has introduced a next-generation multimedia application that allows field services workers to use panoramic photos, video and audio to document their work and affirm asset condition via their mobile devices.
The application, Photo Direct, was introduced during the 2018 Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) National Mortgage Servicing Conference & Expo, currently underway.
The company claims it is the first to bring panoramic photos, video and audio to property preservation in a single application.
“This is the only mobile system for property preservation today that will provide mortgage servicers with an enhanced, multimedia look into their portfolios,” explains Alan Jaffa, CEO of Safeguard, in a release. “Video, with the addition of audio, will help Safeguard and its vendor network tell a better story about each property. If a photo is worth 1,000 words, video will speak volumes.”
The initial implementation of video has a risk-based focus on assessments for basements, roofs, plumbing systems, floors and exterior conditions, the company says.
These represent some of the more challenging property preservation perils for mortgage servicers.
